NYPD Officers Save Life of Child in the Bronx

A father approached NYPD Officer Ariel Zaremba outside the 44th Precinct stationhouse in the Highbridge neighborhood of the Bronx around 3:30 p.m. Saturday begging for help.

“He said his son wasn’t breathing,” a police source said.

Zaremba and Officer George Lippi checked for the boy’s pulse and made sure his airway was clear. Zaremba then began to perform CPR, but quickly realized the boy needed professional help.

As an ambulance was still on its way, Sgt. Anthony Lombardo ordered the officers to take the child to the emergency room.
